Excessive pressure is of NO value... Now if you want a system that live on Pressure and not Volume than That what you have..... Pipeguys Setup DOES Not require any thing over 26PSI as long as the lift system will produce adequate Volume...

Putting too much pressure to the stage 3 causes problems... It runs best 20-24 ... So I have been told... .
really??? Guess my old out, of date, early version stage 2 should be dieing anyday now with it having 35,000 miles on it at 40-50 psi at all times. :-laf LOL

While I do agree high PSI is not always needed, I would have to disagree with saying it will cause failures. I have yet to see a failure from high pressure.

Call Brady again ... things change I guess... It was him that told me that... . He has been real helpful... things seem to be getting better...

Stage 2 thinking is to get big feed pressures... stage 3 ... NO :-laf

All I know is what I been told ... .

The new Stage 3 CP3 is made with a Duramax CP3. We originally did our testing with a Modified FCA from a Duramax CP3. We had some good things happen and it all looked good. Then a few guys here have seen some problems. The fix is a Cummins FCA Modified. This pump will give you eccessive Idle rail pressure if you feed it over 20psi. But if you feed it plenty of volume 150gph and 15-20psi then you will have perfect control of rail pressure. There have been a few with failed Bypass valves that did drop rail pressure when the pressure started ramping up. There also has been a truck with a ECM problem, that caused a problem with low pressure. If you have any ongoing problems please contact us. These pumps do offer extra performance and have been much better for not dropping rail pressure. Thanks

I knew I heard it some where ... thanks Brady ... .

I also talked to John, he said anything over 35psi is overkill and will not be too noticable ... on his stage 1 or 2...

Hey this is an ever evolving industry... . things change... .

Well ... UPDATE ... .

Installed a modded cummins FCA...

Pulls like a raped ape... Still have a drop in the pressure 3-5000psi on heavy footing it.

OBD hand held scanner is telling me that CP3 is supplying more pressure than the ECM is asking for .

I am kinda getting used to it. :D

Did Brady send you the modded fca or did you buy one and mod it yourself??

what about the guys with the stock CP3 that cant keep rail pressures up with injectors and 3 stacked tuners??? my problem is longer periods of over 7 second WOT my rail pressures drop and I get to spitting and spuddering. I am set on in the future going to II twin cp3s but until i can afford it. will a modded cummins FCA help keep my rail pressures up?

I think it will help but how much I dont know some work better than others. The ultimate fix is just as you stated twin CP3's but until then a modded FCA will help.

II sent out the modded FCA as part of the tuning of the Stg 3 CP3 on my truck.

I am happy with the results that I am getting from this pump now!

Not to sound like a cheerleader ... but II stepped up and resolved the issues I was seeing. :D
