Off Roading Check out this HUGE armored truck

Competition eastcoast pulling furthur (WHY?)

I installed some stage three injectors with my twin installation, street twins from piers along with some other stuff and it spools to me very slow, I know they are twins but will bigger sticks help them spool quicker if so, what size bigger?

What level of boost are you dumping the top charger? If its to low that will give you the same issue. Have you checked for boost leaks?

OK I am new, so I dont really know to much running the box for timing can you please explain, I know the box dumps fuel, and is a boost fooler but running it for timing??? Dumping the top charger??? Dont know, again please explain? I think it was pre set at 40 or 45 psi, I havent had a chance to mess with the wastegate if that is what you are talking about dumping, the wastegate. I havent had a chance to pressurize the system but everything is brand new I checked the boots before I installed them and after running it I went back and tightened everything one more time. One of the bands that was sent with the kit was to big and I had to make sure it went around the ridge part of the piping that connects the bottom to the top turbo, the intake for the top turbo piping to be exact which I know I will have to change it and I am in the process of changing it but didnt figure you could build up that much pressure in that part of the system, seems to me it would be more suction than pressure.

I would call Piers, I think you could visit with him for a just a short while and have your questions answered. He is one awesome guy to visit with anyway.

I tried calling piers, Mark is who I usually talk to but I am in another part of the world right now so I couldnt reach him but I sent him an email to see if maybe I could trade for some bigger sticks, maybe the stage four, or with the twins setup the 5's might be the way to go, or would the vp44 have problems delivering enough fuel with the 5's. Opinions and knowledge appreciated,

Hey Henry,

Did you get my e-mail? Try putting in that part you left out while installing the twins and you will be in good shape. ;)

Yes Mark I was wandering where that peice went makes sense I will get it installed asap, thanks for all your help Mark, you and all of your staff, and vendors, you have been a great help. I plan on making a trip to Canada next summer to visit a buddy of mine and I am planning to swing by PDR to see the facilities, thanks again,

Yeah thats funny, pick on the new guy. It was a peice of 2" od pipe that came with the piping kit. Its about three inches long and since I havent done a twin install before or basically any kid of turbo install before and there was no instructions, no pictures, which is what I am really good with, I and a seasoned diesel mechanic could not figure out where in the hell this peice went, so I asked Mark, problem solved, Hey Turbo Thom, do you have any idea where it goes???

A Hot Rod VP44 pump would help your turbo spool up problem. At least from a fuel increase view. Thanks

How much for the hot rod pump?? And how reliable are they, this is an every day driver as of yet havent raced anyone or pulled anything. Might be something to think about for the future but now, dont know??

Where does the little pipe go?

Inside the exhaust housing of the top turbo before bolting up the hot pipe.

Seriously, at what psi, is your wastegate opening? If you don't know, then check it with a regulated air supply.

Cmon Fred just trying to have a little fun, I thought it was pre set at 50 psi I havent had it to 50psi yet got it up to 35- 40psi and it cut out on me like it defueled? could that have been the waste gate opening, it was very noticable, the lack of power when it cut out.

I think I found out why the truck cut out, 2700 rpm rev limiter, I think I was paying to much attention to boost and egt that my rpms hit the 2700 and defueled, I have the drag box but it was only on 4/4 when I was playing with it.

Any comments on whether the mach 5's will to big for the vp, would rather not go to the hot rod if possible.
