In an act of shameless self promotion, I would like to open a general dicussion in relation to Stainless Steel DOT Brake Lines, for second generation 1/2,3/4 & 1 Ton 2 and 4wd models. This is a new product line and we would like to determine the demand for this product. These Stainless Steel lines feature a Kevlar sheath with a teflon inner lining and crimped ends. And these hoses are DOT tested and approved. Unlike OEM rubber lines which expand, crack and deteriorate from the inside out, (most of the time with out warning)! Stainless Steel hoses provide consistent Pedal Feel without expansion. Superior protection from road hazards and temperatrure extremes due to the "State of the Art" Kevlar/Teflon construction. It is my opinion that these hoses will provide more benefit to our brake upgrade packages as well. I welcome your comments.
 
I'd be Interested in them

I'd be interested in brake components like this, but be forewarned, I don't have much of a budget to work with. Typically the only time I can afford to upgrade components is when the originals break and I am forced to replace them. I can't just go and replace stuff that is still working as intended, even if it's not working as good as it could be.



I guess the only condition would be that I'd be interested in them as long as they could be replaced by the owner.

Do It Yerself! Brake Lines

Sure you can do it yourself, Just remove and replace, with simple handtools and bleed the system with our fresh Motul 600 c Hi-Temp fluid and your done.
 
Ok heres the $64000 dollar question I have a 94 reg cab 3500 2wd what does the kit -lines cost and what does it include??? Is this just for the front or do you have rear lines as well??? And why do you mention your fluid??? Is it required to run these lines??? Or can we continue to run DOT -3 or 4. Whats the Catch Vern..... If your lines are what you say they are its a once in a lifetime replacement in most cases, so thats a BONUS. Fill us in...

TurbineDude: Motul is recognized for years are being one of the best brake fluids around. It is used in both auto and motorcycle racing for a long time. They have some of the highest tempature stuff out there. I used it in my RX-7 to correct a boil over problem. It is good stuff.

I have been using their older stuff for years. I just happened to have a couple of liter bottles of their 300oC DOT3 brake fluid. There were unopened bottles so they are still good. Because it is DOT3 I just change it more often. Heat wise the 300oC is much better than DOT4 but other charactistics are not as good.



It looks like their latest stuff is now DOT4/DOT5 which is even better. (I wonder if it is a different color).



As brake fluids go I do not think that it is that much more expensive. It was typically 2x what I was pay for castrol in the stores ($8 castrol versus $16 Motul). The $$ are low enough for me not to worry about it. I put a much bigger value on stopping when I want to. I was driving my RX-7 hard for an hour+ and would then have to come in and bleed all 4 corners. (Yes I was driving it that hard!) After using Motul most of that went away. I still had to bleed the rear because they did not have any forced venting.

Motul is a French company, that has been mfg. Olils, and fluids for many years, very well used in europe, In the usa most ever Hi-perf. motorcycle uses Motul products, We use the Motul 600c Brake fluid which has a very high boiling point dry of 594 degrees and Wet of 421 degrees, Wet is where the fluid has been introduced to the moisture in the atmosphere ( like in master cylinder environment). It has very fast reaction time to temperature recovery and Maintains a hard pedal which is good for Rams, It can mix with any existing traces of fluid and is completely abs compatable. It's easy to find in most any motorcycle shop in the country, if your out on the road, which is an other reason we like it. You'lle love it! Glenn. -- email address removed --

Our Stainless Steel Kevlar/Teflon lines may last you a very long service life, as the inherent design of them is the State of the Art in hi-po fluid lines Ie. Jets, racecars, etc,etc, Our kits are a 3 pc. with washers, Brackets as required for your truck. Glenn
