There were some stains in the headliner of my truck when I bought it. I used Tide laundry detergent and that got the worst of the stains out but you can still see where they were. Anybody else have any ideas how to get the rest out??

Do you think that one of the carpet cleaners would be too strong?

FWIW, if using Resolve Carpet cleaner elsewhere, try your best to keep overspray to an absolute minimum. I have some white residue, like salt stains, on the interior plastic. Unable to simply wipe it off.

I have a light exhaust soot dusting in mine and haven'e decided to do anything except put the vacuum nozzle near some of the worst of it.

Be careful as to not soak it! The fabric is only surface glues to the backerboard. I would use a gentle upholstery cleaner and a wet / dry vac to pull out the solution. If left you are only setting the stain further.

I use a product called Tuff Stuff for all of my interior fabric cleaning needs; seats, carpet and headliner. It seems to work pretty well for me. I have not had a mark or stain that it could not remove. I buy it at Autozone, it comes in a tall yellow spray can.

Good Luck!
