Stalls when put in drive??

Has anyone experienced a stalling problem when you've put your truck in gear? It doesn't matter warm or cold, it's an intermittent problem that may occur at any time. It may go for weeks at a time without acting up. Upon occurrence restart is immediate. ???

Crazy Horse, It seems to me your problem is your lift pump. We have had that trouble quite a bit and when you check the pressure at the filter port it is usually 0. Usually you have this problem with a set of injectors or a fueling box we've had the problem with both. The Lift pumps on these trucks do not run well on stock trucks more less modified ones. If it's under warranty take it in. And if you've heard of how these trucks defuel ususally in 99 avoid from doing it... IT WILL EAT YOUR POOR LITTLE VP44, we've had that done also. So there is my two cents worth, Blackdog is about to put a Holley lift pump on his truck it has a external regulator to regulate the psi to 15 or so. Be Good.

crazy horse , what year , i remeber hearing about a TSB for this problem , check fritz's site . a reflash is in order for it , but also check your lift pump pressure .

Crazy Horse - Hello from Anchorage. I had this problem and the Anchorage dealer knows about it. They reflashed my truck with 18-015-00 Rev A. This fixed the problem of stalling when I put the truck in gear.
My truck stalled every time I put it in to drive or reverse, after the reflash it does not stall at all.
