Stanadyne Performance Formula

I have been using Standadyne Performance Formula for 30 days now...



The product says it reduces the gel point of diesel.





I left the product in my truck overnight it's 0-5 degrees outside and in the morning the product is like jello.



Should I use a different product for the cold weather?

Rcarbone - the PF will gel up on it's own when left in freezing temps. However it will work just fine once you blend it with the fuel. Keep it inside and bring the bottle with you when you go to fuel up.

I just thought the PF may cause me problems in the cold...

Jcarey - you may want to do a search and read my lengthy posts regarding emulsifiers/solubizers versus demulsifiers. I would never run Stanadyne in my truck because it's a demulsifier. Redline is a solubizer, as is Powerservice, Primrose, FPPF, etc. By far, Redline is the way to go if yo'uve got the choice Jcarey.

I have been useing stanadyne PF for about 1 1/2 years now in my 2004 305/555. I live in michigan where temps get pretty cold. I have not had any gelling or start up issues to date with the use of stanadyne PF. I use it year around. I think its more like a ford,chevy,dodge, debate. Buy what ever suits your fancy. coobie Oo.

There has been many debates of which is better Demulsifying or Emulsifying. After reading alot of the debate and seeing that Stanadyne IS THE ONLY additive approved by GM, VW & Ford, I'm sticking with Stanadyne Performance Formula (Demulsifyer). Stanadye has a great article on their website, which explains WHY they believe demulsifying is the better method. I tend to agree. Read it here:

I'm waiting on some Stanadyne too. I got a "shipment delayed and we have no idea when it will be" message from the place I ordered. That's never a good sign.

I've bought Stanadyne PF by the case. On the case it says not to let it freeze. I wondered about that, particularly as I bought it to keep my fuel from being affected by low temps... . but that's what it says on the case.



When done with the Stanadyne I have, I'm switching to PS... . it's easily available at most truck stops and Wal-Mart. Stanadyne is a good product, but getting it has become a hassle.

Where did you order it from? I have had really good service ordering from www.dieselpage.com aka diesel injection service, best price I can find on it.

I ordered Stanadyne from dieselpage. They're the ones that said my order is delayed with "no confirmed time frame as to when it will be available".
