I have used the stanadyne performance formula,year around in my truck since new. Good product IMHO. coobie

Yep, I just bought a case of stanadyne performance formula. I have been using Power service with a shot of MMO. I got a lot of grey smoke on hard accerlerations. I tried a half bottle of the Stanadyne and the smoke went away. Of course the MMO probably caused the smoke.

"One shot" IS performance formula. It just comes in a quantity to treat 30 gallons in "one shot" so there's no need to mess with proper dilution from a larger container. You simply pour in the container and you're done.

Where you guys buying the "one shot". All I could find was quarts and 1/2 gallons. Much cheaper for the larger bottle. How much $$ for the "convience" of the one shot? Thanks, Doc

Perhaps you could enlighten us, because I've been reading all the emulsify/demuslify threads and I have NO idea which one is "correct" for our fuel systems. I'm curious why it's so clear to you.

Your water seperator is not efficent ,,,this is a fact



stanadyne is an demusifier witch clumps up water particles in your tank and sends them threw the fuel system all at once ... when the big clump of water hits the water seperator most of it gets threw and goes in to the motor all at once.



red line is an emusifier witch seperates water particals in to little pieces and when the go threw the water serperator it will catch some of it the rest is so small your motor wont even notice it was there



whats better ???... ... Do you want to send alot of water to the motor all at once ? . . or... . would your rather send a wee little bit over a long period of time?



If you can get a good after market water seperator and keep up maint to keep the bowl emptied than a demusifer would be a good bet



IF not ... ... . EMUSIFIER ALL THE WAY

I use the Performance Formula "One Shot" in every tankfull and I purchase it here http://www.scheiddiesel.com/stanadyne.htm. I won't tell you why I have chosen to demulsify instead of emulsify because I don't know myself.



Also, lets not hijack LesStallings thread here. He is not asking the age old emulsify vs. demulsify question but rather what brand of Stanadyne we use.

It's best to buy in the largest volume you're comfortable with. I bought a case of PF and a few power shot bottles that I keep in my truck toolbox. Then about once a month on the weekend I'll refill a couple of the bottles. Hey, you never know when you may run into a fellow TDR member than may be out and need a "shot" as well!
