I sure hope that this is a great fuel additive! I just ordered a case (6-1/2 gal. bottles).

Anyone out thier using this stuff? The ad claims it will pay for it self in fuel milage increase. Is this true and by how much approximately?

I have a 5 speed with 3. 54.

Thanks in advance

Frank:

I have been using the "Stanadyne" Diesel
Performance Formula for a long time now
in my 96'Dodge CTD. I used to buy it in
the "One Shot" pint bottles, but now am
buying the 1/2 gallon bottles like you
as I can get it cheaper that way.

I really like the stuff! I have noticed
that I get about 1. 0 miles per gallon
more in the winter, but don't see a
significant difference in the summer.
However, as you can see by my signature
I have the "370 Diamond B Marine Inj's. "
and they "really pour the fuel into the
engine!" My pump is also "modified. "
It also has reduced the amount of smoke
I have and I feel the engine runs
"smoother" with it in the fuel.

With the condition of diesel fuel today
I feel this type of treatment is needed.

Your truck may do better on the mileage
as you are not flowing as much fuel as I
am.

Hope this has helped you.

I had used Stanadyne for about 6 months then ran out. I ran the truck for another 6 months without it and decided to buy more and start useing it again. After the first tankfull I could notice a difference in performance. Our winter fuel here is crap. The stanadyne give back what winter fuel takes away. i can't say that fuel mileage has improved any, but it didn't get worse neither. I will continue to use it because I feel the other benifits are worth the cost even if my mileage does not increase. Celtane is increased by 5 points, gel point is decreased by 40 degrees, and added lubrication for the pump to boot!

I have been using Standyne DPF for years and haven't noticed any mpg gain. Did an experiment on trip a couple of weeks ago. All the fuel used was Flying -J,used two tanks in a row with either Standine DPF,Power Service Cetane Boost, Howe's or none. Both tanks with Power Service got 1. 5 mpg over the other three even though it was the hilliest part of the trip. I'm changing to Power Service,it's easier to come by than the other two and claims to do the same things. Be careful where you buy it,Flying-J wants $7. 95/qt,Napa only $3. 95.

Is there any place in North Central Ohio to get Standyne products I hate to use UPS. Thanks in advance guys.

ILLFLEM - surprised at the Flying J per quart cost for the PS stuff - out here locally, I paid $10. 95 for a GALLON of it!

Been using the Staynadyne Performance Formula in the rig. Havent been keeping exact tabs on mileage... but its averaged 20. . (quite good for 4. 10s) Also running Amoco Premium fuel
I love this stuff though for winter operation!!!!!! its routinely getting to -15 below at times here... and she starts right off... I keep her plugged in at home... but there is no plugins at work... so she sits all night. . (3rd shifter) Complains a bit (white smoke and rough idle) but she straightens out once I get moving. I let it idle for 2 minutes... and start out... I dont let it sit... #ad

300 miles per tank of winter fuel, normally. The Stanadyne Performance Formula boosts that back up to my summertime average of 400-425 miles per tank. I went without it several times just to make sure of the results I was seeing. Now I add 1/3 a bottle at every other fillup.
