The local muffler shop is wanting to sell me a Stans Headers 4" exhaust for $600 installed. I've heard lots about the Jardine system but not much about Stans Headers system. Does anyone have experience with this exhaust? Which would you guys recommend for lowering EGT's and helping in overall performance/sound?

Thanks,

I went with Jardine.....

I love the sound and it dropped my EGT's considerably. With the EZ being my only power enhancement I guess thats no great claim.

The difference here is I paid a lot less than what your quoting. Installation was simple. Took less than 2 hours without jacking up the truck at all.

There is a deal going now on www.WWCD2.COM for Jardine. Check it out.

Jardine, Jardine,Jardine.......

Jardine has the great sound, that is why I have it on my truck. With this system you can do it yourself in about 2 hrs. Sam

Stan is located out here in the Puget Sound. I don't have neither Stan's nor Jardine's exhaust, but from the trucks I've listened to and rode in that do,the Stan's has a deeper tone.

I've heard both brands with exhaust brakes too... and again the Stan's still has the deeper tone when the brake is engaged.

I have the Stan's Headers 4" system on my truck. It has a great sound to it. I have not heard what the Jardine system sounds like. I think that both systems will lower EGT and let your turbo spool quicker. Stan's uses a Donaldson muffler I don't know what muffler Jardine uses. But I think that is about the only difference between the 4" systems is the type of muffler they use.

Jardine!!!!

I luv my Jardine system with the muffler in place. It's mellow at Idle and JUST RIGHT at full throttle. :D  :D  :D

I have heard the sound of the Jardine on a 12v truck, real nice. I had the BD 4" on mine before the stack, also a great sound. Might want to check out the offerings from Bully Dog as well.
