I was reading threw bushwackers list of mods and found him mention the star wheel. Will someone please elaborate on that.

The tach, My 91. 5 has a flat 4 wire plug under the dash is that the one you are using for a signal to the tach? What brand, where and how much was your tacks.

Pyro, I am not one for ugly gages mounted on-top of the dash or other unsightly places, where have you all mounted tach and pyro read outs that was out of the way and looked factory? There isn't by chance a company that makes a digital read out screen that can be mounted somewhere that would be flatter and look better than a big honking tack and pyro is there?

Sorry for the book and thank you Jon

No kidding, we've been over this a few times lately.

You might want to run around here some to find out what is on the market in the way of digital items.

On a diesel tach. This thread has some good reading in it.

Just look at the wire colors listed in it. If you plug has the same colors you should be all right.

Starwheel and fuel pin/cone, pulled my afc diaphragm and turned my fuel cone almost 180* to the deepest part of the cone, there was a groove or where you could see the pin had been riding on the cone. Turned the starwheel two clicks. Is this enough? Boy sure seemed like a big difference, did a bonzai run, boost guage is really whining now, hits 30 quick, was running about 85, decided to see how much more I had since I turned up the governor, mashed on it and pyro when from 850 to 1400* like that, backed out of it quick..... ok . . Bill

Deere Jon,

I have mounted my pyro & boost gauges on the pillar and the factory tach is on the dash. Click "View Reader's Rigs Gallery" just below my name and you can find some pictures of my gauge setup.
