Has anyone made any progress on this yet?

None from me - Gave up due to complex wiring and chance of fire due to not turning off enough leads when starter cranks... (not like a gas engine, they crank with many things still geting power)

When the diesel cranks, it stops power from most ALL the trucks wiring

I had a motorcycle that the ignition switch went bad and I wired in two toggles,#1 was power on wire and #2 was hooked up to the starter wire. . I flipped and left on #1 and flipped up #2 till the bike started then let go(it was spring loaded). to shut it down just flip down #1

All the factory relays/fuse's where fine since I disconnected the wiring at the base of the factory switch.

Just dont understand how putting in one switch and by-passing the key to start (switch) would be a problem?

Please dont beat me up to much here.....

Ryan, I don't drive a space shuttle, but I do launch rockets at the Cape (Launch Conductor for the Delta IV), and the winch control switches in my Jeep are Honeywell lever-locks, identical to the emergency switches on my console in the Launch Control Center :D (and no, you don't want to know what they cost  )

Got some pics?

You can that, and it WILL work. But it is unknown that the trucks ECM will do when the truck starts and yet all lead are still powered... Maybe nothing, maybe an electric fire.

The problem is that to emulate (sp) the exact actions of the igintion switch, you have to power 8 leads in the RUN position, but yet only 2 in the start position

And forget about using the ingition switch from an SRT-10 ram , its a gas engine and has a total of only 4 leads vs our 8... totally different ball game.
