lcrawford- I didnt take those off- I made room for a third one! Bottom left corner is a Cummins badge- bottom right corner is the SLT emblem. Between loosing the car dealers emblem, "Heavy Duty" "Dodge" & "4X4", it took a whole weekend to make it look proper.

Any badges available?

Do any of you that "de-badged" have any of the badges left laying around? I have a buddy that would like to get a pair of "5" badges from the side to make a "5500".

Thanks

Mark

go to the body shop @ your dealer--- we used welding wire and two small vise grips to hold each end of the wire------- pulled the wire behind the badges and watched them fall on the floor.

Tech then sprayed some chemical on the residue and let soak for about two minutes-- then took a grinding wheel w/ a buffer pad and polished off the junk------- the next guy washed off the back of the truck and polished the areas where the badges had been.

On the lower left hand corner I put a Cummins turbo Badge (From Geno's) and the project was complete.

Badge-- 15. 00

Body shop-- 10. 00

Hands were in my pockets from start to finish.

Left the 3500 on the doors---

I thought the tailgate looked like a billboard w/ all of Dodge's garbage on it.

3M adhesive remover. Works great!

I used a piece . 020 safety wire under the badge with sawing motion to lift without touching paint. Then used 3M, by wetting double sided tape and leaving sit on tape few minutes.

No sore fingers and quick to remove emblems that you don't want.
