and put it in drive and nothing for a moment. it normally takes right off with no pedal since the idle is at 800rpm with the air on and in gear. so i give it a little fuel and it pops and starts moving. kind of like it takes a second to wake up? what's up? thanks for any input...

thanks. i'll try that in the am. strange that i have put 40k mi on it in the last 10 months and i have never experienced that before? thanks. scott

i checked the trans fluid level. it was ok. it had some very small what appeared to be air bubbles on it?? is that normal? thanks. scott.

That torque converter drain back can be an eye opener in the morning. I have a slight downhill grade on my driveway. If the truck is parked uphill, it will run back wards first thing in the morning. You must idle in gear or N to fill the converter, the pump does not work in Park, if I remember right. Crank it, put it in Neutral and give it 30 seconds, should pull right off. If not, you may have other problems.

bubbles are normal, must be TC drainback, do what Ronco said and should work fine.

'94,'95 and maybe '96 had a recall to install a check valve to prevent drainback as it is worse on the RH trannies. Some feel the restriction from the check valve is worse than the drainback problem. Six of one...
