Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Starter and trans questions

I need to know if the small stud on the starter can be replaced, mine broke when I was removing the little wire. I'm in the process of fixing the starter contacts and many other things for preventative maintenance (my truck was neglected by previous owner!). Also my repair manual doesn't seem to have the torque specs for torque converter bolts and trans to engine bolts for diesel.

I still need the torque specs but got the stud fixed by grinding the rest of it down flat so I could get a center punch on it, then drill 1/8" hole, then tap with 8-32 tap. Then I fixed the contacts. Here's a pic of what's left:
