Seasons Greetings Everyone!

I just replaced the starter contacts go the second time.

With 185,000 miles I guess this is fair but I am curious as to what some fellow CTD drivers are getting out of their trucks?

I did use the Foster contacts and expect the increased surface area to help.

Thanks!

Tom

Tom, contact wear is a tough thing to measure by miles or time. Some guys may only start their truck four times to drive a thousand miles in one day while the next guy will start his a hundred times to drive the same distance every six months.

I think that it's safe to say that contacts should be replaced every 80-100k miles.

Tom,

My truck is a 96 and has 55K on it. It just had the contacts replaced. Sooo, for some very rough numbers:

6 years X 365 days X 2 starts avg = 4380 starts
