I just noticed today that when I start my truck that it seems that the starter is losing power or getting bogged down right before it starts, I'm pretty sure that it is not normal or maybe I'm just paranoid. I'm going to check the connections at the starter and make sure nothing is loose. I'm sure it is not the batteries because they are only a year old. Anybody have any ideas as to what it could be?

thanks,

Cory

Put one probe of voltmeter on battery post, other on cable clamp, measure if there is ANY difference. Difference = corrosion. Quick check, simple.

Thomas,
what symptoms did your starter have?
None. I imagine something would have shown up in time.

The change was done to prevent starter problems. A call to Larry Buck might be helpful.

I just checked the batteries this morning there is no corrosion on them, I sprayed some of that anti-corrosion stuff(not sure what it's called) on them when I installed the new batteries last year, I think I'm gonna call Larry today and order a set of super contacts since the truck has 225,000 miles on it I'm sure a new set of contacts won't hurt a thing.

It did seem to act normal this morning though.

thanks for the input, if you have any other ideas let me know.
