Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) starter problems

starter does not engage consistently. clicks several times before engaging. have to keep cycling key till it engages. could this be contacts or do they have solenoid problems?? hate to start replacing parts for no reason.

Had to replace the contacts on mine. Burned really bad on the positive contact. Easy and cheap fix.

Replace the contacts.



You can buy a kit from Larry B. or take it to any good auto-electric shop and get them there.

The starter is easy to remove and the contacts are easy to replace.

Got it coming. I'll change them when i add the T-Rex, 4" ex, DT, DSS, etc... ... gonna be a long weekend!
