Sometimes the truck will start, sometimes not. When it does start, it will only run for 10-15 seconds.

I've observed the fuel shutoff solenoid activate while the starter is turning.

I've read that the fuel lines can develop nearly invisible leaks which could cause this problem, so I ordered some new fuel lines from Larry B's. I also plan to replace the fuel filter.

Not wanting to miss some other obvious thing, I'm asking you folks for suggestions.

Thanks

The rubbber fuel lines are the most likely cause but hard to start problems can be caused by a bad lift pump (matter of fact the symptoms are the same).

The fuel shut off solenoid relay could be on its last leg ( working somtimes).

Shutting off after 10 to 15 seconds is probably caused by your idle being to low. It is not to hard to adjusts just a pain to reach the adjusting screw.

Automatic trans; 750-800 rpm with trans in drive and a/c on.

Manual trans; 780 rpm with trans in neutral and a/c on.

You can adjust idle higher if need be.
