Starting Issue

A friend of mine's 09 (stock) is having trouble starting in morning. It acts like the batteries are weak, but they checked out. Any ideas

Does it turn over every time or does it click sometimes? I've heard of the coils on the starters going bad several times. That will cause a clicking noise if the batteries are good but it won't turn the motor.



I think you can replace them without replacing the whole starter. Any easy thing to check (maybe you've already done this) is make sure the connections are good.

I had a similar problem, after storing my truck for a year. Batteries were good but intermittently I wasn't getting enough juice. I cleaned all the cable connections and probelm went away. . H
