OK I need help! My truck won't start unless I manually pull up the plunger on the fuel-shutoff solenoid. It's a brand new solenoid from Larry B's, and I checked the relay to it and it works fine! I have my idle set to about 850rpm. What next!

I don't see what year the truck is but on my 94 the solenoid pull up coil is fed directly through the relay by a fusible link from the driver side battery. On later years I believe the solenoid is fed from a fuse in the power distribution center.

Is this one of the frequent problems caused when the starter sticks? If so, did you get a protective diode from Larry B? If not, you should. It would be good insurance. You can get the large diodes elsewhere somewhat cheaper but Larry's offering is a kit that makes it easy to install.

OK, got it! The fuel shutoff relay was working intermintintly. Should have tried it a couple more times! Does anyone know where to buy a new one? The dealer wants $50 and I considered Larry B's but I want it to fit the stock connector. Thanks for the advice everyone
