Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) starting troubles.

My engine will crank over but not start. the fuel solenoid is good but it wont click up when the truck is cranking over. i touched a wire from the battery to the white wire that runs to the solenoid and it clicked like it should. but when i crank the engine over, it doesnt click and it wont start. . any suggestions?

Make sure you are getting power to the big relay hanging on the cowl (driver's side above firewall).

There should be blue wire coming off positive post on battery, it has fusible link in it. It could also be corroded.

If blue wire checks out and you have power to relay check out relay. Relays can be bought at electrical stores (except RAdio Shack there relays are not rated for the amps we need).

Corrosion at the + terminal on the drivers side battery can cause serious problems. Remove all wires, cables, clean and make sure the blue wire is not about to break at the eyelet.
