I recently had my lift pump and crankshaft position sensor replaced by the local dealer. Ever since, my truck truck takes a couple of extra turns of the starter to crank up about half the time - the other half it cranks with the typical(almost instant) Cummins startup.

The truck also seems to "stutter" a little when it takes the extra time to crank - is this a sign of something worse coming up?

Thanks in advance for any advice...

Let me start by saying welcome to the TDR,

If it stutters after it has sat over night the problem could be air in your fuel system. check for any fuel leaks or fuel smell. Does it stutter after the truck has been started for the day and then shut down and restarted or just after the truck has sat for a long period of time.
