The break-off screw is supposed to come out with a torx bit, but mine would not. I had to use a SMALL chissel and SMALL hammer to turn it out. When you have the AFC housing off for the plate install, you can drill through the plug or use an easy-out try to get it out. If it dosn't turn loose, heat the housing (off the pump) to about 250* to 300* but no more, and try it then. Do NOT HEAT THE PLUG DIRECTLY. Aluminum expands more then steel, and so heating may cause it to loosen.
