This sucks, I was out workin and checkin over the truck, and I remebered a post I read on here about the manifold bolts comin loose, so I thought I'd check. And to my surprise 3 loose 1 totally missing! YIKES  Well called the dealer, told them the prob, and that DC had a TSB out on it... They say ok, but they didn't hear about it, and want me too look it up and give them the number to make sure... ahh ok   whatever, anyways I looked it up no problem and I was lookin through the rest of them and I come across this --> http://dodgeram.org/tech/tsb/2000/D-00-16.htm ... Not cool, now I'm alittle scared. . I know the guys at the dealership, and I hope they don't hook it up to the scan tool... But the way DC wrote that, they make us sound bad, and that every Diesel truck that comes in they must check :( I dunno what to do... If i drive with the computer off for a couple days, will that erase some of the bad stuff off the ECM? and I have to say, boy my truck was denutted when I took that off LOL :D Sorry for the long post had to vent, and get any ideas I could. . ;)

I don't think you will have any problems with the TSB about the manifold bolts. Anything you put on your truck woudln't cause a problem that DC already has a TSB out on.

I would remove any boxes you put on, just to be safe. And I would also instruc the dealer not to reflash. Oh, and I would also watch them do the work.

just my 2 pennies.

Maybe we need to have our own VOID sticker to place over the data access connector so the dealer can't reflash without our permission. ;)

Do what I did, pull the datalink connector out of the bracket (I use that bracket to mount my fuel pressure gauge), and then put a pad lock on it so they can't hook up to it. Then just tuck the connector up under the dash. In my case I found a master lock that fit almost perfectly.

Hey Bill,

I read your post and started laughing out loud (got a strange look from wife). wouldn't it be great to treat them the way they treat us. To some extent I do, I don't go to their dealership anymore and they don't come see me.

I'm in the same boat as I have to take mine in to have the oil in intercooler problem fixed. I had an EZ on and took it off yesterday and it SUCKS to drive without it.

Does anyone know how Christophers Dodge in Golden, CO is about that stuff. I took the EZ off, but someone said it left a "paper trail". I know it didn't cause the problem I have just been wondering for the future.
