A couple of months ago I posted about a dealer in the very southern tip of Illinois about the great service I was reciving for my truck... . well tonight my bubble brst into a million pieces. I pulled the dash and all the related components to replace the leaking heater core. This particular dealer had all this apart a few months back replacing the evaporator right before my warranty died. I found several screws missing, only one loose nut holding the steering column up. all the nuts holding the heater/evaporator housing were so loose on the studs I unscrewed them with my fingers, and the hose for the evaporator drain is missing. Explains a few new rattles. Probably shook the heater core apart. I pulled out the passenged side floormat and the carpet underneath is soaked with antifreeze where it ran back in the cab since the drip hose is missing. I appreciate them fixing my door panel but I would rather have had the rest of the work done right. Connie says we TDR people need to get a network of garages set up around the country where we can get our trucks worked on by hardheads like we people that own them where the work will only be done right or they won't be touched. reminds me of when I used to go down to the implement dealer and sit there all day long and oversee the warranty work being done on my tractors as that is the only way it would be done right and not have to go back a second and third time. I am so dissapointed in this work I just can't take it. Time for some Southern Comfort.
