Haven't you seen the movie series Mad Max,Road warrior and Mad Max beyond Thunderdome with Mel Gibbson?He always had a bomb booby trapped to his tank so nobody could steal gas.

I can see it now "On todays news: A Red Dodge Pick-up with "Sled Puller" on the side mysteriously blew up at a Truck Stop in PA. Local authorites are trying to decide if it is a Terrorist Attack, or just a fatal accident..... "

I have many friends here in the State Police, they have offered to hold the flashlight while I dig the hole with the backhoe. Their opinion is the scumbags just aren't worth the paperwork. They'll file a missing persons report but unless the reporter of the missing wants to admit to being involved in a crime, they have little interest. Besides I have access to a place where nothing could be found for many years. Hey Git-R-Done you know the place I mean, & I've got friends in "Low Places".

I won't doubt you here, but I certainly wouldn't post such on a public forum. In the event that you ever did have a run in you can bet that the lawyers would find this post. Might not be the words ya want the jury to here.



I myself would not hesitate to go after someone in my house to protect myself and my wife. The guy out in my yard would crap his shorts after a couple rounds went out into the empty field behind our house and after he found the only road out was blocked by a cop friend 2 miles down the road. :-laf

When I was growing up one of my neighbors got broken into while he was home. The kid opened the door and was greeted by a full load of 12 gauge double-ot buckshot. He landed at the bottom of the steps leading to the door.

The owner spent a week in jail till the Sheriff could sort everything out. The owner was never formally charged.

I'm kinda toying with the idea of "Damage proofing" one of those deer cameras from Wal-mart



Strap it to a pole out of reach and let it take pictures of the *******s.....

I didn't mean to turn this into a gun/shootout/killing thread. Would I shoot someone for stealing gas? No. Threats against family? Yes.



I was looking for more ideas such as the deer camera idea, as to find out who is doing the stealing and then going after them. Any other / better ideas for either safeguarding your gas/fuel?

Well it might be a bit combersome... but 1/4'' or 3/8'' plate around the tank would do it. They'd give up drilling after the first drill bit dulled... .
