JKloppe - I disagree with what you are saying about stage 1's. Bill K has stage 1's in his truck and it smokes worse then my truck that has the stage 2's. Each truck is different, so even though 1 truck may smoke, the next may not. Just my $02

Barry - I have been told nothing but good things about the 275 injectors, along with them punching about 30 - 40 Hp. They are a very good choice.

Though the only complaint that I have heard about the 275's, is to not install them in an ETH. I was told by a friend that they only added about 10hp and like 20ft lbs of torque. He tried a couple sets, and dynoed them. Same results. So don't waiste your time on them.

As Jkloppe says, I would recommend minimum DD1's.

Although I am a convert of matched sets of injectors... it has been documented that 275s, on a dyno with an ETH... a 42HP gain. This is by a well-respected member of the TDR!

If you're looking for stealth, the DD1's are the way to go, or DD2 or DD3 with their stealth option. Regardless of the extra power they can feel, your dealership couldn't PROVE that anything was different with the injectors, where they could with the RV's. With the TDR member discount of 20%, that puts DD1's at $400.

Rob... I was actually told this by Piers. He has his hands on a 24v and has been testing it.

I sure do with he would step in and tell us his exact results...

IMO... You had better have a new clutch ready to put in soon after the injectors.

I would agree that the DD injectors would be the better choice for the ETH. The 275 wouldn't put as big a hp as they do on the ETC.
Happy bombing

Thanx Guys... ... Pls. keep the info coming... ... . The DD1s are $100 more than the Bosch 275s... ... ... ... . are they worth it?

The RVs on my ETH added a lot of punch, more than they did on my '98 ETC. This is Seat Of Pants indicator, no dyno to back up, but for the HP gain the RVs are worth the price. The only downside is they are not flow matched, and the ones I have do not seem as smooth as they could be (but may be an ECM-related thing though, my truck has never idled rock steady since new).

The 275 hp RV injectors do add good power to the ETH, but "everyone" now knows about them and the dealership "might" look for them. Their part number is different. The DD stealth injectors can be had with the stock part numbers (in case you have a dealer who blames the dead radio on your injectors). From what I learned recently about the DD extrude honing process, it is very involved to do it right. I recommend their injectors if you decide to get injectors that make more power than the Bosch stuff.

The 275 injectors, If memory serves, have a black pakerised finish and the Dodge, DD1's and stealth 2's and 3's have a green parkerised finish and the OEM Dodge part #'s . Any one with minimal visual acuity can tell the 275 are not stock but the stock and DD's would have to be pulled by dealer and sent out to be flow tested to determin whether or not they were OEM or modified. I have reached the point where I am considering a set of injectors. I would like them to be as descreet as possible in that I like to protect my warranty. All the mods I have that would void my warranty were chosen for the ease of coming off the truck quickly in the event of warranty work. Please read my signature and then give me your opinion as to the best injectors for the job. Right now, I am leaning towards a set of Bosch 275s for $299. Thanx in advance... ... ... ...

You can get a better deal on those injectors on www.wwcd2.com
You can always fool them with numbers, then all they do is go and drive your truck. So they can always tell if you have added something. Will they, it will be a chance that you are taking. Alot of other people take that chance as well.

I would go with stage 1's, not much more money with a lot more bang. The 1's dont produce massive blake clouds of smoke.

OK, now I am getting a clearer picture. Thanx guys for all the info. I think the "stealth" way to go is the DD1s. Can someone explain the term "Flow Matched"? I assume, this means that the 6 injectors sent will be a "set" that has been matched for smooth idle and performance. How far off am I?

Kevin, just to clear the air... the 275 inj. that I tested were in a 2001 235hp truck (automatic) They produced about 10 more hp & 20 ft. lbs. torque. Same injectors in the earlier 215 hp version give much better results, stiil no where near what you can get with a set of DD injectors.
And yes you can get extrude hone injectors elsewhere for less money, same company sells their version of the 370 diamond B injectors for the 12 valve... that have different tips than the correct 370's & the wrong install gaskets. Check around before you buy, price isn't everything.

While I was at BD Dyno Days last October, they did a before and after on 275's is a Cummins. I don't know the year or transmission configuration. The thing I was surprised about was that the 275's only increased his HP by about 15-20 HP. I can remember the exact numbers, but I was totally surprised that the owner of the truck throught it was pretty good increase, for the $700. 00 Canadian he paid. If it had been my truck, I would have had them removed and gone to at least DDI's or larger.

I personally have Bully Dog III's and on the Dyno they show 100+ HP increase. I only get a little smoke below boost and if I watch how I take off almost none. An another big plus for Bully Dog injectors is that they are all Stealth!

Go with the larger injectors you will be happy you did!

Barry, I have 275's installed by BD and am extremely happy with them. No smoke and 41 hp on a 99 auto.

Joe, Who thinks that the dealer is going to pull an injector and check the #'s. They can't take time to do this type of inspection for 40 hp. My . 02 worth.
