I have the JL center console stealth box with the 13w3v4 sub in it. It sounds great and I get to keep all of my under seat storage and fold flat floors.

I have the JL Clean Sweep with JL Stealth Box and upgraded the door speakers and dash with JL VR's. The Clean Sweep will fit behind the A/C controls if you're creative. I have the JL 500/5 powering everything and I love it. I have a security car safe in the center console and didnt want to be giving that up. So I still have the storage on the drivers rear side under the rear bench and gave up all the passenger side rear bench seat storage with the sub and amp. The replacement tweeters in the dash are a tad on the bright side, but when tune properly sound pretty good on the imaging side of things.

Bobby, that sounds very close to what I purchased yesterday and will have installed next Monday:

Alpine CDA9857 Head Unit w/Sirius Connect

JL VR . 75 Tweeters

JL VR 6X9 Coaxials

JL VR 5. 25 Coaxials

JL 500/5 Amp

JL Stealthbox w/ 10W3v@-D2 Sub

Hope is sounds good.....

I found my box on Ebay. A guy in Texas made it and it fits perfect. they make them for either 10" or 12" subs. I recommend 10" because of the air space. I think I paid $75. 00 for the box and about 20 for shipping. It is a great box, I'm sorry that I cant remember the name...

I was very disappointed at first, but after the speakers broke in and I did some fine tuning it kicks ***. The VR tweeters if placed in the dash are going to be LOUD!!! But with you running a true headunit/preamp you should have more control over the treble. I may change the dash tweeters to a soft dome and run them off the rear channels to dampen it a tad, but still have good imaging. You should be real happy once you fine tune it. Just hold off your judgement for the first 10hours or so of play.

Thanks for the advise. Will give it some time and fine tune it.

One more quick question: Do you have an IPod hooked to your system. The alpine comes with the IPod cable... thinking I will go that route instead of the multi disc unit.

Got my system installed yesterday. Ended up putting TR's in the back, and XR tweeters in the dash. I am really pleased with this system, so far. The stealthbox give good, deep bass, without booming. Overall, this system is even better that the Eclipse I had in and '02. BTW: IPod is the only way to go. Glad I didn't get the cd changer.

cool!!

Ipod is nice for convenience, but sound quality sucks IMHO. I can plug an IPod through my clean sweep but never sounds as good as my CD's even in the truck let alone on the home system.

That's strange. Yesterday, I took the IPod and the CD and compared both (same song, of course), and frankly, could not tell the difference. I am also surprised that Sirius does not sound great, even though I'm no longer using an FM modulator. It's ok, but no where CD quality sound.
