After reading a thread about stearing wander, ... ... ..... was driving truck to dealer to get trip computer replaced when I noticed about an inch of play in stearing wheel after 40 mile drive it had grown to 2-3 inch's and was getting to feel like my dads old 68 ford f 100 with 145K on it. Anyhow, I made it to dealer and told them about it so they decided to take it for a test drive... ... . they never made it out of the lot and after five minutes of troubleshooting they told me the stearing box had had it and put one on order. It should be back on the road tomorrow. The dealer said this was a first for them and the Engineers in Dallas wanted to see this box.

Just thought I would share this, My dealer is in Lampassas, TX and these guys take care of thier CTD people.

Job Complete!

:) It took the dealer two days to get in the new stearing box, but it appears that all is well now. Truck tracks straight and there is no slop in the stearing at all. BTW, Thanks to all that posted in past threads on stearing problems... ..... when I went to dealer and used the magic word "excessive" I had no problem getting prompt attention.
