steeing wheel clubs

While I am fully aware of the pros and cons of steering wheel clubs I want to put one on my 08 ( the old one jammed up). I am NOT looking for a discussion about clubs pros and cons just which model you use and which is best. The idea is that a "visible" deterrent can make them go look for an easier vehicle to steal. If I go to all the trouble of doing an anti theft system and they smash the window and do damage to the truck but can't get it started then I am still left with a mess. I don't like alarms. They just tick off neighbours.

So lets talk about clubs: 2 claw vs 4 claw. I know the steering wheels can be saw cut and come clubs can be easily picked, that's why I want a good one.

Your truck probably has a very secure anti-theft system from the factory,I have a bright flashing LED in my jeep to hopefully have them move on to an easier mark

The best is low deductible insurance because if they want your truck they are going to get it. The Club is so easy to defeat it's NOT a deterrent! In fact The Club is an advantage for criminals to bust the steering wheel lock if equipped. http://freakonomics.com/2010/06/08/what-car-thieves-think-of-the-club/

Even bagging your truck to sit on the frame in the parking lot with an alarm... Truck was stolen when crook took own battery into the cab to bypass alarm system. Oh and the 'mom' who had borrowed the truck didn't drop it on the frame after parking it helping nix the best security system delay of waiting for air to lift the truck.

Best "visible" deterrent to vehicle theft is a vehicle that's beat up so bad it looks like it won't start and low value dented body parts at that.

Best anti-theft system that just WORKS: Ravelco.

A trip to Radio Shack and little could net pretty good results also.
