Steel and Al wheels on a Dually

I was thinking about upgrading to some Alcoa wheels, but I was wondering if I could put Aluminium wheels on the outside of the duallies and keep the stock steel wheels on the inside. Can this be done?

Its the only way it is done. I have the Alcoas and they are on top of the steel wheels. Even if you wanted to run 6 Alcoas the lugs studs on the rear are not long enough for the increased thickness two Alcoas would be.

i just ordered a set of alcoas for my 99. how much thicker is the alloy over the steel wheel? my new BFG 255-85-16's rub a tiny bit on the bottom and i hoped the alloys would fix this problem! thank's..... james
