Steering Box Leaking

My 2009 3500 . . 39,000 miles. . Looks like it is leaking from the top side of the box. . this a common problem?



I also have an issue with the front Differential pinion Seal that I am taking to the dealer for. . I have a repair contract that they can do that for $100. . guess i'l have to add the box as well.

The front pinion seal seeping is not rare

The steering gear leaking at the top is not common. Are you sure it is not a trans cooler line

My gear leaked there as well and was replaced under warranty.

Bob, no the fluid is dark. . and my truck is pretty clean underneath.

Both trans and power steering use ATF+4
Easy fix under svc contract
