PSC has 2 steering boxes for '93+ trucks - one with a 20:1 ratio and one with a 13-16:1 ratio. I believe mine is 3-1/2 turns lock-to-lock or 20:1 do most folks have this ratio in their trucks? I believe the 13-16:1 ratio is 4-1/2 turns lock-to-lock?

Thanks,

I think that I would go with the variable ratio box... . I had one of these from AGR on my 87 Suburban with 6" lift and 35" tires and the truck was very stable at speed 85+ mph on rough two lane roads, just my . 02 :D

FYI... . I think PSC is the way to go! AGR quality has suffered over the years.

I think they're all variable ratio more or less just a different # of turns of the wheel lock-to-lock. PSC has 5-6 day lead time on steering boxes I'm not gonna get this done by the weekend. Oh well.

I just looked in the Dodge Service Manual for 1992 D&W 150-350's and it says there is an identification code on the upper adjustment cover which designates the gear ratio and the vehicle it is used in. The manual states that the code "XS" on the cover indicates a 13-16:1 variable ratio used in Dodge Ram trucks. This information SHOULD be the same for 1993 trucks.

P. S. I've never heard of a 20:1 ratio box for our trucks. Hope this helps.

According to PSC the boxes in '93 have a completely different mount!

Are the '80-'92 boxes a 3 bolt mount or 4 bolt mount?

I counted 3-1/2 turns of the input shaft lock-to-lock. I think that means 20:1 ??
