I'm ready to swap out my original steering box on my '99 Ram 2500 4X4 after 205,000 miles. I just had a couple ball joints replaced, an alignment, and everything checked out. The original box has some "play" when pointed straight ahead.

Steer & Gear in Columbus, Ohio is close to me and offers a rebuilt unit with an optional bushing to eliminate a factory bearing play problem. They are a really good shop and have been around forever. What bushing are they taling about and is it worth an extra $60?

Thanks.

Most likely it will be for the sector shaft,I would not hesitate to ask them to explain it. Any upgrade that helps in the steering department is a good thing

Don't waste your $ rebuilding your original box... get the new one from Geno's... way quicker and way less wanderin' down the road. Mine drives like it shoulda been from the factory. Bets mod so far I have done on the truck.
