I put a new/rebuilt steering box on several months ago, which took the slack out of my steering, that is until a brake and alignment shop thought they needed to adjust it when installing new brake rotors. After their tweek, it seemed to steer harder and wander more. Any advise on tweeking or un-tweeking.

Loosen the lock nut and back off on the adjustment screw. Do this in 1/4 turn increments and drive the truck in between changes. Stop when it feels right.

If the above suggestion doesn't work. Tell that shop to replace the box they blew the torerences out of. Over adjusting a box can blow it where it will never be right agin.

I wouldn't even fool with it, the shop FUBARed it, they can replace it with new.

Hold their feet to the fire! #@$%!
