I recently replaced the steering box on my 06. That went well but while I had the steering shaft disconnected from the box I turned the wheel several rotations in both directions to make sure it felt smooth without the box attached. Now I have intermittent air bag light coming on. The rest of the controls on the wheel work (volume, tuning, cruise, etc). Is it possible I broke something in the clock spring that would only effect the air bag? I've driven the truck for almost two weeks and about a thousand miles and it just started today.

I have been told by the dealer that the clock spring is warranted for life on our trucks. Can't say it is Gospel but I was just told this by the service dept at Dodge. You might not want to tell them what you did by turning the steering wheel.

no life time on the clockspring-that was on caravans.I suspect the steering column was turned while the box was out

It was the clock spring. Replaced and all is good. I also lost the horn. A very easy fix, albeit $104. My mistake, my pay. Didn't even need a steering wheel puller.
