What are some of the opinions on steering dampeners? How often should these be replaced, anyway? It's way past time for new shocks so I fugured I might as well do this too.
The best way to check a steering dampner is to remove one side from the mount & push in & pull out the full stroke of the dampner & feel for any soft spots. Usually these develop in the wheels centered area about the middle of the dampners travel.
