With the never ending rain here in New England and wet roads all the time, I notice an oil drip from the front of my truck today (easy to see with all the shiny colors spreading out from the drip on the wet ground). It was coming from the steering box.

The whole box was wet with PS fluid. From the top, I saw the pipe that is screwed into the top with the ruber hose connected to is was just about rotted out and the source of the leak.

Does anyone know what the part number is (if there is one) for that little screw in tube assemble on top of the steering box is?

I can't seem to find it, unless its just a regular piece of metal tube with a compresion female threaded attachment on the end.

There are 2 lines that are on the top of the box. The Dodge dealer carries them. I know the mainly rubber line is $13 from the dealer, I replaced mine not long ago.

OK, I guess I'll give them a call on Monday. The rubber line is not the problem on my steering box, its the small still tube from the compression screw on the top that is corroded.

Thanks.
