Steering gearbox & axle hub assembly Bad @ 17K ??

I have been hearing a "clunk"/clank when I drive over bumps lately. Took it to the dealer and they are replacing ,under warranty, the steering gearbox and the left axle hub assembly.



?: why would those componets be worn/damaged after only 17K miles? (No off road, no towing) ????

Any big pot holes? Maybe the dealer, test drive, truck driver, dodge, or someone dropped the truck before you got it. Maybe a monday, truck.

Personally doesn't sounds good... . see if you can get a real answere to why it failed and or look at the parts.

On monday the workers are hung over/tired/ go tthe mondayblues... . etc. Because of these issues the truck built on mondays are not up to par.
