I don't know for certain if I have an issue or not but I returned last week, towing a car on a car trailer and with the bed loaded heavy. Got back and disconnected/unloaded everything and parked the truck for a few days. I drove it unladen for the first time yesterday since that trip and the front end felt like it had a flat tire. Checked everything and it still has the higher inflation on the tires. Drove the truck into town and it feels like I have no return on the wheel. I have to drive it in and out of turns. Had not noticed this before. It tracks straight down the road so alignment, at least at this point, does not seem to be the issue. I did hit a rather bad piece of road in the truck lane on Hwy 99. The type that moves you over a quarter lane. Since the truck was loaded and had the trailer, that is a lot of weight being thrown around. We have come to expect this in Ca. by the way.
Since our steering units are now electronic???, so I hear, has anyone else noticed that the steering feels different on a 3500? It has always had a heavier feel since new. At least compared to my 2004.5. So I don't know if I need to look for a problem or if reflashes can affect the performance of the steering. I have had several of those done. I have about 13K miles now and had not noticed this before. Maybe caster and camber got thrown out????
