None supplied with new TRE's, but they can be installed. I located the update parts (CBUEN491AC) and upgraded the linkage myself and added the grease zerks. The 1/4" zerks with the tapered threads seem to work the best. Drilling with one hand and holding the shop vac hose stopped any metal from getting inside the TRE, hole was just small enough to let the zerks tighten into the end.

Thank you much for answering my question!!! I was hoping that would be the case....did you simply drill up into the bottom of the TRE on each side?? Did you use a straight zerk or a 90?? Got a pic of one end or the other with the zerk????

Sorry not getting back to you sooner. I took pictures of all the updates I did from installing the HD steering gear, the 08.5 linkage + the recall, then the stabilizer (DSS).

I basically matched it to what came with the original tie rods back in 07. One thing I learned was that the DSS stabilizer needed modification to work with the HD gearbox (I assumed the 09 version would be needed to work with the new box and it did not). The Mopar HD gearbox on an 07 doesn't use the DSS stabilizer for an 07 or for an 08.5 or newer - at least it didn't on mine and according to DSS, they were working on modifying it. I had to move the bearing plate inboard about 3/4" and backward about 1/2". I'll find some photos and get them up here. Busy right now finishing my modified Mopar Severe Duty filter kit to accept standard 1-14 thread filters, about ready to install it.

So I upgraded my 08.5 steering about a year ago, but it doesn't have the forks or pin inside under the adjustment rod. Does this meet the bar of the recall?

So if I understand correctly this pin and slot is to keep the ball joint ends aligned to each other to prevent binding and breaking.

Thanks Everyone
