2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Steering Lockedup

I have a 2001 Ram 2500 4WD with a cummins. When turning out of a parking lot today my steering locked up and will not turn ( frozen solid ). Front end parts are all in good shape, just had tie rod and tracbar replaced 6000k ago. From steering colume to sreering box everything is tight. Did have a little play at steering wheel, I figured it was coming from the steering box. Has anyone had this problem ? Is it the steering box ?

I have never heard of such a thing. Take the intermediate steering shaft off at the box and see what happens.

Just removed steering box and return line is packed with metal chunks. Something let loose. Time for a new box and clean out system. Any ideas.

I have that happen alot. Never looked in to it. I'll be watching this post to see what others say.
