We have 3- 1998 2500's with about 100,00 on each and each is starting to wander and show loose steering. I have read about 2003 track bars and new stabilizers- The last one with 90,000 started the wander when we put new tires on it. Where should we start? The trucks are stock and have been driven on highway, mostly--nothing like lifts or off road-- From forum sounds like need track bars, stabilizers replaced, etc.

Thanks in advance

I got under mine and had someone turn the steering back and fourth 9 o clock to 3 oclock while I looked over each joint. I found movement in my trackbar and updated to a 3rd gen. HTH, Jim

4wd or 2wd?

I'd say just get under it and see what's worn out(using the method Signal73 described), then come back. There are upgrades for just about everything on the steering... just gotta know whats worn first. :)
