I know Geno's tells you the steering pod will not work for Westach guages... but I really like the location!

I know the bezel gets in the way of the steering wheeel but...

Any thoughts on making this location work? I would like to put a second dual temp guage there and avoid the bullet mount elswhere (A-pillar already clobbered). Don't want to grind down the guage face or anything major like that. I saw a thread a while back on making this work... cannot find it now.

Thanks Everybody.

fuel guage mount

I mounted mine with mounting panel from geno's in little empty storage compartment to the right of radio, works good there and can see it ok.

steering pod

I'd give it a try anyways, They didn't say anything about autometers gauges hitting and my Z-series hits wheel too. just filed area flat at contact point and touched up, can't even tell.

Good luck.

Take the gage and remome the sharp edge around the glass. Take it down as far as possible. Mount the pod all the way down on the door side and about 1/4 " high on the right. This should let the gage clear the wheel.

Mine does.

fuel gauge

the way you can make the FP gauge work is auto meter sells a set of three rings to go a round gauges to be able to ajust the angle. Eric
