Steering post Gauge Mounts

IF any of you are going to install the steering post Gage mounts, you can view them much better, by removing the upper two steering column nuts and installing a washer or spacer about 3/16 to 1/4 inch on the top side of the steering post. This drops the post down just enough that the Gage mount will slip under the dash and also allows the Gage's to be seen better without blocking any of the instruments.

Just returned from Ogden and a brief chat with Ken about gauges and mounting them. He started up his twin turbo while I was there... Awesome.



Thanks for the photos. I think the steering mount takes up more of the dash than I want. You can't see the trip odometer and automatic transmission gear selecter at all in the photos.



I'll see about playing with the A-pillar mount, dash mount, X-Monitor or dual readouts in one gauge.

The pictures really do not show the angles very well. In reality when you sit in front of the instrument panel, you can see most of all the gages including most of the odometer. When you lift your head just a little, you can see everything. Just wish the gages would get here!

Check out the white Di-Pricol, they are the best match we have seen to the 03 instruments. The numbers and hash marks look black during the day. At night they illuminate blue and the orange needles illuminate as well.

The wife & I met with Amsoilman to look at the steering post gauge mount. He is right If you lower the column the gauges will not block the trip odometer nor the auto transmission gear selector. Also had the wife sit behind the wheel and she said it was fine too.

new pricol pyro gauge. too bad it still has a blocking plate above the pointer... i don't like that. .

Thanks for posting the picture of the new Di-Pricol for the 03 Dodge. These gauges are different than the white faced with blue numbers as can be seen from the photo. The glass is convex rather than flat, numbers and hash marks illuminate green, needles are illuminated orange. The big spot in the middle of the pyro is to hide the mechanism which requires a larger hole in the face than the other gauges, so the Di-Pricol pyrometers will always have some sort of mask instead of the center needle cover like the other Di-Pricol gauges. Here is a photo of a 0-60psi boost gauge for the 03 Dodge. Note the needle cover.
