Well, still working on the brakes but now I have time to expand on my steering problems. I am currently on my 4th  rebuilt steering box from Pep Boys in 2 years. Anyone else have problems with these? First wouldn't turn right, second developed a massive leak at the top seal, the third is explained here. They are life time but a pain to change. That pitman arm never comes off without heat and destroying the old box! The last one had a little play so before I could adjust it I heard a big clunk and went from 2" of play to 6" of play. Put the 'new' box in Monday and it works fine. My other problem is the Borgeson shaft. That thing has somehow 'welded' itself together. Couldn't get that thing to contract or expand (not normal operation but makes it easier to get the steering wheel straight). Anyone concerned may want to put anti-seeze on it. Until the next time...

Scares me...

My box is leaking (and a little loose) at the input shaft, so I need to change it soon. I hope I have better luck than you've had. Second time sucks, let alone fourth! I'm planning on going to NAPA, hope they have a good one the first time. :)
