I just wanted to let everyone know about my wandering problem. In the last six months I had to work to keep my truck between the lines. So, I replaced my steering shaft with the Borgeson. It really improved the problem, but not as much as I thought it would. Next on the list of improvements were the springs. I had 038 and 039 originally. I changed them out with 047 and 048, respectively. My truck was 1. 5" higher and the ride feels brand new. I couldn't believe it. I expected a rock ride, but it's just firm like when brand new. Best of all, minimal wandering. I can actually drive my truck without white knuckling it.

If you have a 4x4 try replacing the steering stabilizer shock. That did wonders for my truck. It tightened the steering up.

Today we installed the cross brace that holds the steering box solid. That was an additional big improvement.

It steers better now than when new.

Has 118k on it.

I also did the seat bottom overhaul with additional foam rubber and a piece of carpet. BIG improvement for my 300 lb. butt to set on.

To top it off we installled new HO light bulbs and a metal belt tensioner pulley.

If we don't stop it the truck will be better than a new one..... ha

bubba_zanetti, installation of the shaft was very easy. i did it and i'm a girrrl. it is astonishing that dodge is so consistantly cheap with the parts.
