Hi I just got a quick question for everyone out there besides PSC who else makes a higher quality than OEM steering box for are trucks???

-Thanks, Travis

I got mine off Power Steering Service in Springfield, Missouri. Great product and way better prices than PSC. The owner is Chip Woyner and a great guy! Oo.

I'm not sure what the ratio is on my PSC box. They call it "Caddilac valving". I hated the stiff steering of the old box. This one, I can steer the truck with 1 finger.

Even with a new box, DSS, Thuren's track bar, and newish steering parts, I still have alot of steering wander. I feel like I'm in a Duke of Hazzard show the way I have to saw the wheel back and forth to keep the truck on the road :-laf

Crappy heat and A/C, poor lights, weak brakes, wandering steering... if it wasn't for the Cummins, I would have ditched this thing a long time ago!

guys I'm in the market for a new box also ( that too!) :-laf I deffinatly want a quick ratio mine is a 4 1/4 lock to lock box I want a 3 turn box, what would the ratio be on this box? The number in my service manual list 3 different gear codes. A gear code AM with a ratio of 17. 5:1 , gear code HC/FW ratio of 14:1 , and last, gear code JZ with a ratio of 16-13:1 . How do you distinguish these boxes and which one would be the closest to the 3rd gens,

I hate the way my truck drives its drives terribly since day one,and the box was replaced under warranty 2 years ago. I just found out today from the dealer that they replaced it with an identical box, which explains the crappy steering. Gregg :(

I called napa and they can get me a 3 1/4 turn box, is this the 3 turn box others are talking about? Also has anyone installed a napa box,and how are they? Its either the napa or the pss box. Which would you guys use?
