anyone running one? i have one and i wondering if i should use it or buy a 3 gauge a-pillar instead of the steering wheel mount. i heard your supposed to attach it w/ 3M double-sided tape?? any info (if you like it, how you attached it, fit and finish, etc) or pics would be helpful. i would use this to mount my FP gauge.

TIA,

chris

My Dad has one on his '02. They told him not to use a Westach gauge in it because they said his hand would hit it, due to the bezel being that big on that particular gauge. Well, he put a Westach gauge in it anyway because "thats what he wanted" and his hand does'nt even come close to hitting it. He loves it and I like it quite a bit too. BTW, he used the supplied 3M tape and it works great.

I use one for my Dakota Digtal FP gauge. I love it and the only thing it really obstructs is the "low washer" fluid light. I used the 4 push pins it came with and some 3M tape to secure it to the column. so far so good.

I have a column mount for my pyrometer (see pix in my readers rig gallery). I didn't use tape or velco - i used some #2 black self tapping phillips head screw to hold mine on. The holes are very small (approx 1/16") and if fits tight and rattle free. I can also remove it without damaging everything. Had mine on for about 20,000 miles (~ 1 year) now.
