Steering wheel retrofit

What would it take to add the steering wheel with audio controls to a regular steering wheel truck? Is the wiring in place, stereo the same? I miss these from my old truck.

It can be done. It only makes sense if the wiring harness is already in place and as I understand it the wiring harness is radio dependant. If you have the radio that accepts steering wheel controls the wires are in place. The problem comes with the steering wheel, tone ring and switches. It's all good if you can find a used one one but if bought from DC its several hundred bucks. I haven't done it yet but plan to try if I ever find a steering wheel.
